K.T. James

The Full Story

K.T. James spent her childhood scribbling stories. From short stories to horribly written novels in school, she has continuously written - mostly to read herself (ask about her story about how she got into writing). In college, she finished a full novel for one of her class projects that to her, wasn't awful. Since then, she's collected a pile of half-novels, loads of short stories, and a couple of (somewhat) decent completed ones that she's trying to revise and publish. In later years, she taught technology and worked on her websites for her parents' businesses while continuing writing on the side. Nowadays she lives and works in the Magic City, or Birmingham, Alabama while revising and working towards publication for her better novels.

K.T. James concentrates on Young Adult, writing stories that she wants her son, nieces, and nephews to read. In most of her stories, you can find one of two components: deafness and adoption.  Wondering why? K.T. James is hard-of-hearing and often uses ASL instead of or with spoken English and has twin nephews who were adopted.

K.T. James is currently navigating life with a happy-go-lucky toddler boy, a rambunctious puppy and lazy older dog, and a husband who is more patient than she dreamed she would marry.
