Desiree and K.T have been involved in a book club together for several years. One night, while chatting on TikTok LIVE, our followers expressed excitement for a book club that focuses on celebrating and analyzing deaf and hard of hearing characters. That night, we talked about Deaf culture and our experiences and compared it to several books we were reading. We could immediately see the enthusiasm and passion for an online ASL Book Club. Within the week, we set up the book club on Fable and Discord and started promoting it to our followers.
The majority of books will be chosen from the D/HH Book List. If you have any book recommendations, contact us! We are always adding books to the list.

Welcome to DEAFinitely Readers!
We are an online ASL book club that focuses on reading books by Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing authors, or books that have Deaf/Hard of Hearing/Deaf-Blind characters. You can join the book club either by going to Fable or Discord. Chapter discussions typically happen in Discord and every Wednesday night on TikTok, there is a live discussion for the chapters of the week.

Desiree (left) and Keri (right) have been friends since they met at College Prep in Alabama. Desiree is Deaf and grew up with sign language. Keri is hard-of-hearing and learned sign language in college. They both wear hearing aids. For the livestreams, Keri simcoms (signing and speaking simultaneously) and Desiree signs. Keri voice interprets for Desiree.
