Camp NaNoWriMo has officially ended. Camp is over and the month is ending. I’m happy to say that I met both of my goals: writing 20,000 words and completing 2-3 short stories for Deaf Tales.
Write, Write, Write
I didn’t write every day, but I did meet my end goal and for the most part, I did meet my weekly goal. One week, I ended up taking a long writing break to help my mom make 300 cookies for a STAIR (start the adventure in reading) fundraiser.
The “pineapple” was also included in one of the stories – which was a requirement for our Camp Cabin.
Cop-Out
It feels a little of a cop-out that I wrote more with Deaf Tales instead of creating an entirely new story.
I still feel stuck and blocked with writing. Ideas are not coming into my head, which scares me that it will continue to stay stagnant. I had hoped that the deaf fairy tales would help prompt my brain to come back up with more ideas.
But that has yet to happen.
I am excited about the fairy tales, however, and have ten stories. I feel like I will be editing these soon and hopefully get them polished and sent off to be published.
And hopefully, ideas will begin flowing. If not, I will at least finish editing one of the four novels I have waiting to be edited.
Write on.
