It’s the end of NaNoWriMo 2018. All month, writers have been straining to reach the 50,000 goal – or vastly exceeding the goal. How do you feel about NaNo 2018? My NaNo feelings are, in one word, righteous.
For me, I had three goals this NanNoWriMo:
Write every day
Write at least five of the ten planned short stories
Write 50,000 words
Happily and proudly, I can say I’ve accomplished all three goals! While I may not have written on the stories daily, I did either plan – and write it out – or worked on blog posts.
I did write five of the ten short stories – yay! – though this week, I’d hoped I would squeeze one more in. I’m still proud of what I wrote (and you’ll be seeing some soon I hope!) And I got over 60,000 words.
So, at the end of this year’s NaNo, I, for once, don’t feel discouraged or worn out. I feel righteous and ready for the next step (which is to finish the other five short stories before editing begins).
And now, even though NaNoWriMo is over for the year, write on wrimos!
